Momma's Coal Pot

I'd been here before and had had some pretty good Q, so about six of us went to check it out:

Though they open at 11:00, they were still boarded up at 11:20 and we had to rouse them. Let me explain that this is a stall at the University City farmer's market in the parking lot that runs behind the stores from Saleem's to Cicero's.

After getting the son to come out and take our orders, we sidled up to the picnic tables (again - no indoor seating, cash only) to wait . . . and wait . . . and wait . . .

. . . for what was eventually mediocre barbecue. No one was very impressed. I had the half chicken and it was OK but Red's is in no danger of losing its lead.
