Flavors BBQ Sports Bar and Grill

A Friday lunch with Matt & Steve found us in The Grove to try out Flavors, one of the newer additions to the St. Louis BBQ scene.

Ample parking for the space & a bright, friendly decor greeted us. I'd say the place seats 50 or so, split about half & half between tall tables and bar seating.

I went for the rib tips of course but they were out. Both Steve & I ended up with the brisket & Matt went for the pulled pork. The meat was tender but not very smoky-flavored. There was minimal rub but the table sauce was excellent - a nice tomato flavor with a mild kick and a tasty tang.

The sandwich comes with your choice of bread and the Texas Toast worked great to hold the sauce. Everyone raved about the sides. I had the baked beans & the other guys loved the sweet potato fries.

I got out of there for $10 including tip (no drink). We all agreed we'd go back though the joint's proximity to Pappy's may hurt its business.
